I wish somebody would offer me free standing firewood for the pleasure of felling it 🙂

I used to think the same but without the machinery to get such trees roadside and then home it’s simply not worth the hassle. It’s actually cheaper to pay the £60-80 a ton roadside prices.

Hi. New here, thanks for add.  2 years into 3.73 acre site. Had a survey done today, and have about 40 ash with ash die back.  I was wondering if it is possible to get them felled for free in exchange for the timber? All are on the boundary to public land.  Thanks so much

Generic 1600 kg tirfor, ifor tipper behind land rover with mini-digger aboard, cut stems to five foot , track up ramps with stem 😀

Distance is always the killer with bulk on haulage 😔
