2511T How to adjust carb

Can someone please help me. I bought a 2511T and ran it for a day and it was bogging so I tried adjusting it. It wasn't working so I took the limiters off and tried adjusting it further and found that it was actually the fuel that I was using was bad. However, now I can't even get it back to factory settings to get it to run at all. Does anyone know how to get it back to factory settings, and how to adjust it from there? I have a panther bar and 1/4" sprocket on it and really wanna get it going. Any help is appreciated

Low 1 7/8

High 2 5/8

 

Those are standard settings for the original cs2511t but I haven't seen any of the little echos with limiters on the carb so best to proceed with caution in case the settings I have given dont match your carb.

You are using the correct D-shaped carb tool?

Mark is correct on the settings. I have no idea what limiters you removed as I have never seen any. 

All the saws I have seen have D shaped H&L screw, the early had a Phillips idle screw and the others, a D shaped idle screw.

Reset to Marks settings, adjust the idle and it should run OK.

My 2511 didn't run very well, new out of the box. I had a little fettle with it, and probably just got lucky. Good saws, when running well.

The one you set up and did the PDI for has been the most trouble free I've owned Gand !

I must be lucky, mines ran faultless out the box from new and its 4 years old. Its had lots of spare parts from @Mark_Skyland in that time tbf but no running issues.

 

I like the oiler set high. Chain oil is free to me but bars aren't.

We do try. All saws get a good run and tune before being sent out 👍

It took me 3 years to get it right, but fingers crossed I seem to have got it right. 😊
