I have TWO supplies to the same property, a single phase one and a three phase one. The cost per unit is exactly the same. Supplier is SSE..

john..

Until 14 years ago I had three phase to run my compressor, welders and fan for my forge. The house was next to the workshop and it paid to take a phase from the workshop supply to run the house at the much cheaper rate than the domestic supply. Maybe the pricing ratio has changed since then?

Perhaps they just caught me?? I know the standing charge for the three phase was a bit higher..

I think you’re correct in that the standing charge was higher, but that the Kw unit cost for some reason was less for the three phase.

Any updates on the price of red is it on the up or on the way down (I wish)? looking for 500l or 1000l, not vast quantities.

You were ripped off then as it is generally 110p or below at the moment. Does seem to be creeping back up again and my own opinion is it will stay at or above current prices for a long time now, spring at least.

I had to google HVO fuel.

Is it really a simple alternative to red diesel?  If so what does it typically cost and is it widely available?
