Now that Trump has got control of the oil in Venezuela the Russian economy will shrink even more making it unecanomical for the Russian oil industry to continuie to produce . Could help Ukraine .

Yes but the real cost to the economy will develop over the next decade or more. The russian and ukrainian people will suffer even worse than during the first cold war.

 

Remember the cost of supporting their puppet government in Vietman cost the american economy such they had to curtail visits to the moon but their economy was already rich enough not to have to disgruntle their population.
