He's got you there @trigger_andy  That is the 'rub' in this whole situation.

I guess. In my mind we should be going after the 100 global companies that produce 70% of the worlds pollution. That’s never gonna happen though is it? So the West will just get taxed to death and line the rich to powerfuls pockets and like trying to solve hunger in Africa nothing will happen, it will just get worse.

Anyway, I was somewhat side tracked with the Pity Porn that is feeding and watering Africans. The poorest countries in the world are seeing the biggest population growths, it’s the opposite in the West. If we’re to manage the global population it’s there we need to focus on. Not our tiny Island.

There seems to be a degree of ignorance, (wilful or not we'll never know), creeping into this discussion. Whilst wiping out the population of Africa and other third world countries may satisfy one person's more odious personal agendas it'll do very little to reduce global carbon emissions.

Yeah well, if you don't like it, start your own intellectually superior, holier than thou, I'm so virtuous, thread...

Maybe something like "...has anybody got a sense of humour I could borrow..."

🙂 (not sure if that's the right emoji to convey a condescending smile or not but, well, you know....)

Put an infertility drug into manufactured sugar and tell everyone that it’s there.  That would kill two birds with one stone and be voluntary.

A good start to address both noise and gas pollution as well as use of non renewables, would be to ban fireworks worldwide.

How sound banning fireworks solve anything? They are used so sporadically that they pale into insignificance. Cancelling one of Jeff Bozos trans-Atlantic flights would wipe out a not so insignificant portion of the “pollution” fireworks cause.

Why do we keep attacking the little people and not the major contributors to this mess?

I think it was 'Matelot' who last promoted eugenics on this site.

I reckon that there is capacity to irrigate the world and feed everyone, unfortunately we're still in feudal times.

Each to their own though.

How many children do you have? I was going to mention children when you said you'd rather carry on as we are and see the death of hundreds of millions within your lifetime?

I was going to ask if you seriously thought that if it was you children or grand children who were going to perish. I understand if some of the worst predictions come true it's not just going to be remote places that suffer but fairly catastrophic impacts across the globe.

I knew that was coming. ;)

Since we’re discussing this topic on a global scale surely it’s only fair to view reproduction and race on the same macro scale? When we consider this scale Caucasians are in fact a minority. Within the Caucasian make up Blonde Haired Blue Eyed  people are a distant minority in what is already a minority group.

Nobody wants to see unique minority groups disappear around the world, we all agree that ever effort should be employed to ensure these groups don’t disappear.

Im personally doing my bit by having four beautiful blonde haired, blue eyed daughters to help maintain an already endangered minority group.

Thought of entering politics Andy? I was more interested in your thoughts of the climate change of your loved ones. I've not heard any stories for a while but what if the north atlantic drift stops in 20 years time? Seems possible?

We will all be blooding freezing and the government will be getting every last drop of oil out of the North sea leaving Andy laughing all the way to the bank?
