It was my Grandfathers kettle. Still smells of coal smoke whenever I use it and I have used it a lot.

A few bits of charcoal off the BBQ works very well

Seen something similar in a garden center yesterday. Way to much work involved in these though

Yip. But its marketed as a BBQ. Was a pallet full of them reduced from £10 to a fiver. Would have had a punt at £2.50.

I've made a couple with poplar before. Used some embers from the fire to light them. Worked well.

Unnecessary but would be interested to seem them burn. Think I would of had one for £5 just for cracks.
