Just checked out of curiosity on the ranger, mind you it’s not very often it’s not towing something.

u lucky bugger

i get 20.4 out of mine

around 17/18 when towing

i don't think running 32" AT's and a remap helps with MPG 😅

What’s they wheel tyre combo you are running

The continentals on back of mine are nearly done for and was looking at some BF all terrains for next set. Not wanting to mess around too much but can get a set of 17” ltd alloys free of I want them.

275/55/20 they are BFG  AT's K02's

not cheap but you defo get it back in the miles you get out of a set

A rated in the wet as well which is good and genuinely are very good on wet tarmac for an AT tyre

It wasn't the battery. It's the fitting. It requires the whole passenger seat to be removed, annoyingly. Plus some wiper blades on that visit too 😁

I hate to say it but the passenger seat needs a cover prying off and 2 bolts out then it tips up to get the battery out, it takes 1/4 hour to remove, change battery and refit! I’ve done ours twice as the first new battery was faulty

Fair enough. The battery was around £300 by itself through VW, so that was a fair chunk of the cost.

It's had a new starter motor (£1350 job), new battery (£500 or so) as well as gearbox oil change. It's also been waxoiled, albeit not since Nov 2019.

I can feel your pain BigJ , less than a month ago I did £35 in cold blood on some brake pads. :scared:

Ahead of us moving next year, I need to streamline my machinery lineup, and with the possibility of us buying a house in October, I honestly can't justify the presence of the Touareg after that. I'd take it to Sweden, but tax is horrendous on big old diesels.

I bought it for occasional heavy towing and as a family vehicle, but in nearly two years, I've only put 10k on it and I've never taken it into the woods other than on a couple of main tracks. I'm too precious with it.

It's an outstanding example of a 2006 V10 with 111k at present. I am only the second owner. It had never towed prior to me owning it, and has towed probably only 15-20 times with me. It had a full VW history before me, and has been serviced fully twice in the past two years with a third service to come before it's sold. It's had a new starter motor (£1350 job), new battery (£500 or so) as well as gearbox oil change. It's also been waxoiled, albeit not since Nov 2019.

I'm only selling it (and only in October) as it sometimes sits 2-3 weeks between uses. It's an overpowered ornament and would be better off with someone who actually uses it.

It's in outstanding cosmetic condition with only a few tiny blemishes. No rust.

Make no mistake, it doesn't matter what you hitch up to it, you'll accelerate to silly speeds up any incline in very little time. I get 23mpg as an average bumbling around locally, 29mpg on longer runs and 16-18mpg when heavy towing. 370bhp, 850nm.

Probably be about £6k in October, fully serviced.

Pm sent

The Touareg is now at it's new home with Andy (Dumper) in Essex. It was lovely to meet him, and for his assistance with Stansted parking and such like :D

I miss it's ludicrously comfortable pace, but I couldn't justify it anymore.
