In the shop last night, behind a group of boisterous young lads buying 2l bottles of coke and packets of mentos, one said "hey mister, is effing football gaun hame?".

 

Probably, I said, as the Romans founded Londinium and built England's first sporting stadiums. They left in silence looking a bit confused.

personally would have cheered on the beggarly county of jockland just to have a good laugh at the blue faced jocks in a frock.
