Do you guys rate the Stihl MS381   as been offered one for a good price locally 

Never used one Les... I would say it was a farmers saw by the spec though ... would probably last forever.

28" I think its the perfect balance on the saw for me

That's you and Matty running 28". Reckon I might try that next time I replace the bar.

When I got my 500i it was live at first cut, no bogging down, just keeps cutting, even when the chain gets dull it just keeps cutting.....brilliant saw...
