Hi guys. Having read the reviews on here it seems this is a beginner needs so have ordered an 18hp elec start cs100. Comes with set of spare blades too for £5,011. Is naming it optional?

Name it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mines called Lewis (Literary reference), you got a good price (if that's with the VAT).

As others have said that's a good deal with the blades thrown in (I'll buy them off you :-)). I have the same model - its heavy - takes a winch to get it on the trailer if you're on your own, and a rope/pulley to get it off safely, but well balanced when moving it around, eats like a lunatic, and the build quality feels spot on. Never regret buying new - you just don't know the quality life 2nd hand ones have had.

And watch for the power of the thing shooting to direction nozzle off into the air if it's not secured tightly enough. Ours took a ten foot journey over a fence first time out.

I built my business on an 18/100, and God it was hard work!

All the disadvantages of a road tow, with none of the advantages!

Used properly, it's a belting little machine, and was ultra reliable, don't get me wrong, but getting a 125 was the best money I ever spent.

Seeing a couple of limbs going through Micks CS100 this week left me in no doubt it blows the 18/100 away completely, and I'm a big TW fan. The drum system and letterbox infeed is so much better.

That's what I was looking at - but it would take a two way winch to do the job of on and off safely and you'd need to tie the winch off in such a way so you could wind it on its side otherwise the handle wouldn't go all the way round, if you get my drift.
