Mark I had PF for nearly a year - had to cancel four people doing the West Highland Way because of it.

What helped more than any insoles, boots etc were the stretches, icing the foot and gel heel pads inserted into my existing footwear.  Also never walk barefoot; thick soled slippers in the house all the time.
Raising the heel is more important than padding it because it eases the stretch on the plantar fascia:  women - and some men! - can help the condition by wearing heels.

Had PF for 12 months. I have found I have to do calf stretches otherwise it flares up again. Also rolling a frozen bottle of water under foot. It’s a debilitating bitch of an issue!

I broke my ankle rather badly a few years ago and my "tracking" is out 🙂 I find these boots really comfortable and they are available in a few different widths as well. They have a shock absorber in the heel which can be changed depending on your weight, waterproof, safety and comfy for 10/12 hours a day.
