Hi Saul containers down hear are a grand or just under and like I said the tesco delivery truck backs are 650 we have an old site office in our yard and I just cant decide either turn it into a kiln or upcycle it into an office type thing

gobby, is that a 20', or a 40'? You wouldn't find a good 20' around here for a  grand, well maybe but not much less, and we are right under the 'flight path' from Felixstowe docks.

What’s the delivery process like? I am hoping to move house shortly to a place with a bigger back garden - would love a container which I’d then clad, insulate and put a pitched roof on as a more secure workshop. Only a 20’ one max, but the access is probably only good to get a six wheeler to within about 30 foot of where the container would need to go, from where it’d need to be craned in.

Sounds expensive, I think :-(

Groovy, that's the plan.

Remember if you heat it it will lose a lot of that energy through the steel wall. If you add insulation to the outside the roof will need to protect the extra width.

If you insulate from the inside you lose space but the insulation has to be totally vapour proof, else warm moist air will permeate the insulation and condense either in the insulation or on the cold wall and eventually run down the inside and cause problems, including rust.
