I’ve finally got round to picking up a load of the 5l cans from our local supplier. After another week of choking on fumes I’d had enough. What do you do with the empty cans, can they be recycled?

I've also bought an Echo Dcs 2500t, lovely little saw to use. Would highly recommend it.

I cut mine in half

Then use the bottoms half to soak parts or chains in

Or, cut one of the sides out, and lay the down and use as storage containers for stuff

I sling em in the plastic recycling bin...seem to disappear ok. And Rip the side out and they make handy oil drain pans.

I run everything 2 stroke with Aspen, never had any problems.

Similar to Stephens experience above, in that I dropped in on one of my son in laws jobs , his gang were hedge cutting. ( He only uses Aspen in his topping saws) . As old habits die hard I picked up a hs45 that was ticking over on the ground and had a minute buzzing the side of a connie hedge while his lads were busy.

Talk about making me gag, I’d forgotten how bad pump petrol fumes affected the lungs and brain.

We were finishing a large conifer take down a couple weeks ago, cutting the stump low with a 3120 and the damn fumes out the thing were horrendous. My eyes were stinging like hell and couldn't breathe. Cut about ⅔ of it and needed to stop for a minute. ?

Got about 7L of fuel already mixed then i'll just go get a few more bottles of Aspen and switch to that.

No problem; they're a very basic plastic that burns (at high temperature) very cleanly it is claimed.  I take the labels off, leave them upside down for a day and hide them in the recycling bin.
