Got a flail mower/mulcher, 550kg on it's way from Winchester to Rushden, £82 all in including insurance. Communications are excellent. Was going to go and collect with trailer just not worth the hassle or time.

I had a look at palletline. The chipper is 3x1.5x1.5m, which is about 5 pallets, cost was about 500. I'm not sure they will take a chipper either. J.

What sort of chipper is it? Can the drawbar or hopper be easily removed to reduce overall dimensions?

Tw160, tow bar might be removable, never looked into it. I think it might need 3or4 pallets anyway. J.

Phone them up and explain the load. Different systems for non pallet able items and will not be the same price as 4/5 pallets

These guys generally have a manual pallet truck, which has a 1tonne capacity and they require hardstanding both ends, so unless he can physically lift it with that and move it about, it's a non starter. Imhave used shiply loads of times. Never had an issue

Shiply are quote over 600, I included a photo of the chipper and di.ensions so they should know what to expect. I'm not paying that much anyhow. J.
