I honestly haven't got a clue what to do, it seems lockdown is inevitable so might as well shut now.

If help is forthcoming, which I gather it is (for the self employed) then it’s seems to make sense.

A week or two from now might be too late if the NHS is creaking under the weight of it all.

I just wish they’d say lockdown or.....

I am. I'm heading over to Hampshire for a forestry site visit with one of my chainsaw operatives and my younger daughter (no nursery). My cutter lives in virtual isolation in the woods anyway, and being a forestry site, it's extremely easy to keep your distance.

Did have some work but my climber staying away now,

I'm thinking just stopping now.

Get outside with the kids.

All my kit is paid for so don't owe any thing,

I'm a bit in limbo about work, not sure anyone will have any money after this.

I can do some solo forestry but if lockdown ya ain't avowed out.

Local council has just closed many of the   public  spaces; parks and beach car parks etc after they had record hoards of vistors over the weekend from all the second homes  &caravan parks.

Cavaran parks all full  & record numbers of people out and about.

Loads of selfish twats coming up here to the highlands in their campervans to self isolate! And emptying the shelves in our wee local shops ??

I dont blame them. Generally folk who own camper vans are getting into the age group who will most likely be mist affected by the Rona. 'your' wee shop could of course refuse to sell to them. Maybe have a word with them about that. :)

I’m not working today as looking after daughter- typical isn’t it that after 6 months of rain, finally a nice spell of weather comes along and now can’t get on with it with the usual gusto. I have a job lined up for later in the week where I will be well away from anyone, but think il probably be shutting down work soon. My wife works in NHS so she will probably be rushed off her feet shortly.

My missus has been drafted into school to cover looking after front line workers kids, she has taken our kids along, most of them are vulnerable children, not front line at all. If these kids aren’t safe at home they shouldn’t be there, the school is now doubling as child protection.

I am cutting in a large estate with one other cutter, I will not be in contact with anyone outside of my home for at least two weeks. I think lock down is imminent and needed to curb dimwits who continue to ignore all advice to not mingle in groups.
