Hmmm, 2010.. going to be an interesting one for me..

Priorities have changed somewhat over the last year, and I now face additional responsibilities.

in 2009 I dropped from 12 guys down to 7 and have managed to keep most of them going.. work has often been day-to-day, job-to-job rather than having a full book, and the overdraft took a serious hammering early in the year.

I'm happy to report that work is coming in quite nicely just now, and we should be busy untill at least mid-february and with two LTC's to work on throughout 2010 I hope we can keep busy throughout the year.

I learned quite alot in 2009... looking to bring in more work was often like getting blood from a stone but somehow we got through it.

For what it's worth, I dont think the dark ages of the recession and down-turn in work are quite over yet, and it seems to be very much a case of survival of the fittest just now. Don't let your guard down boys.

Here's wishing you all the very best for 2010!

2010 is going to be a strange year. Early december my dad died, who i've been a carer to all my life. Suddenly i have the world at my feet, i can do anything i want, and you know what.....i've never been more terrifed. I'd like to start traveling at some point, maybe even working abroad.

But for now just need some work to come in for jan.

Sorry to hear that.

Must be a real loss, but also a responsibility lifted from your shoulders. I really have no idea how you must feel, so I won't pretend I do.

I wish you all the very best and hope you are able to do some of the things you would like.:001_smile:

Pretty much have moved away from tree surgery and next year want to expand on milling more timber and finding markets for it.

I think there's a lot of possibilites out there and spin offs from this industry in terms of what you can do with the waste. I know it's getting boring hearing everyone going on about logs but there is proper money in it these days...

Good luck to all in 2010.
