Hi, just wondering if anyone has bought the ELH, the 2018 model with bearings in the boom and if so does the swivel make it posible to use on a ladder?

Also has anyone done a recent comparison between this and the GTM Elephant trunk2 which can be used on ladders?

thanks

I have not bought, however I am very pleased with the one I made for demo, show purposes.  I have tried  the Easy-Lift Harness on a Henchman Tri-Pod ladder several years ago at the APF.  I believe it will only work with this kind of ladder configuration.

The Easy-Lift Harness Can not be used with an extension or step ladder under no circumstances.  I hope this information helps slim.

All the best.

Yes they will work on a tripod ladder. Not quite as well as on the floor tho ? occasionally the bars at the bottom of the harness will hook in the steps if Side on to the ladder but coming up a inch frees it no bother

I'd give ladders a miss with an easylify, far too unstable and lack the range of movement often required when on a ladder. As far as the newer model with swivel is concerned...I'll stick with my older one I think, the newer one doesn't seem to work as well as it seems to get locked out on an angle making it difficult to pull the trimmer down again

I wouldn’t use any type of harness on a ladder, just brings risk back into the equation.
Incidentally, the plastic tube that connects the harness to the upper vertical pole has snapped on my Easy Lift Harness.
Does anyone know where to find a replacement as I can’t find the right size tube or fix my broken one.

Not sure if they still have stock but fr Jones had some replacement tubes. Failing that...contact henchman, I believe they are the uk importers
