My old charge hand got pulled over by the police in his Ford Granada Ghia

 " got stopped by plod . One was a copper and one was a Hap'enny "  Meaning one was a constable and the other a cadet .

Not boss but an old boy I was paired up with on the Water Authority, talking about the electrician who covered our patch who loved the sound of his own voice.

 

"He could talk a fecking glass eye to sleep".

When I was a student at a sheep farm in Lincolnshire, I was working under the supervision of Harry the shepherd.

They had a flabbogram down at the local pub and Harry was sitting in his usual place by the fire.  Somebody went up to him and asked him what he thought of it so far.

"Weall its all riaght, but would sum one tell me which weay round she's feacing!"
