An experienced climber should be able to take a tree down calmly and safely. If your on a white knuckle ride I think your doing something wrong.

I know where he's coming from too, and hopefully he knows that having a bit of fun at his expense is par for the course on Arbtalk. If your going to put yourself out there as the great big tree taker downer for nothing then you will get poked at!

totally agree

i get more adrenalin driving to the job than doing it

although it is nice to be tired from doing a good biggy that all went well

 

even the really horrible not fit to climb trees dont give a buzz but they used to:thumbup:

try canoeing paragliding rock climbing get it out of your system

in fact charge more and fund a parachute jump

I get more of a buzz straight felling big trees.

When it comes to climbing : the bigger they are, the more fricking work there is involved.

 

I'd climb a tree for free, but not with a chainsaw in my hand. (or a silky for that matter)
