Dogs are great for the opportunist thief. Someone really serious will get around a dog.

 

Sorry to hear about your kit though, was it the two longest items in the container and therefore not in a lock box?

 

No there was an old pole saw and a Stihl long reach hedge cutter, the one with the adjustable head. My other gear was else wear.

 

I found his foot prints, he was alone and just took what he could carry, I think.

Sorry to hear that Dave, its funny that this seems to have got more common as the recesion has bitten, which sugests that these people used to have jobs and have turned to this as as alternative. You'd think that someone who had worked for a living might know better the damage that they cause to peoples livelihoods.

Bad news about your Kit. There was a guy at the Saltex the other year selling all sorts of things to secure containers, I can find his number if you want it.

I hate thives and if i had of caught the scum that nicked my climbing kit he would have had the silkey across his chops, and I mean that!!

Its no coincidence mate, just goes to show that there are so many opportunist thieves out there.:sad:

 

Its always when you, left something unlocked just the once, forgot to put wheel clamp on etc etc.

When I had my petrol stations one was 24 hours but we decuded to close Christmas Day ... closed at 8.00 pm Christmas Eve and by 8.30pm the window had been smashed and tobacco gantry ripped out :thumbdown:
