Bit quiet this year

Anyone else finding it a bit quiet this year?

We only sell a few logs as a sideline, but last year we'd shifted about £500 by Xmas. This year less than half of that.

Has anyone else found sales sluggish this year?

Have put the price up to £5, but that is a full bag of seasoned hardwood, often delivered, and the people who have had it have not complained.

Thoughts?

Been even busier than last year - I can only just cope but the wheels are going to come off if Snow threatens for Xmas - I've even got people panic buying. I ran out early December last year and it may have been the best thing I ever did. Customers went elsewhere and got sold some really vile product. This time round orders started in August with customers doubling orders to get what they want, need and get -dry firewood

Same here, loads of crap floating around, people I turned away last season 'phoning up in August or even July! About out of seasoned hardwood now, had people ringing asking how much wood I have left, do they need to buy now, can I put some back for them etc...

Just goes to show if you've a quality product, word will out. Must be doing summat right!

just increased my storage by 4x because the shed was empty and i could concrete the floor. Most of my wood went by November. I have alot of beech in billets outside since september but not happy about sending it as its been so wet. Hoping it will be ok for January. I was worried about losing my regular customers but have only heard from about 5% of them so far. All new customers this year.
