A friend of mine years ago was robbed at knife point.  At the time he was working for a company delivering fresh fish.  The robber demanded his takings, cant remember how much it was

Shortly after I got this guy a job at the place in the company I was working for at the time and he ended up working alongside me for a little over a year.  Was a great worker and we got on well.  However, some things just didn't add up here and there, but didn't really pay it too much thought.  One day the boss discovered that this guy had been altering his pay cheques, considerably...and for quite a while.  The bank had photocopies of all the altered cheques, and it was amazing they had accepted them.  He had typically changed 3's to 8's, then changed the wording and itinialized it.  Looking back there were several things that went missing mysteriously.  I suspect the knife point attack never happened either!

Not suggesting for a second thats the case here, but it just reminded me of the story.

I was chatting with my groundies recently about compulsive/serial liars. We all remember that one kid who never cured himself of it.

I have some log picks and a 7lb axe in the cab within grabbing distance for such an occasion...

If it was compulsory for everyone to carry a gun that scene could have been a good old fashioned wild west shootout.

Threatening to kill someone to facilitate theft - anyone found guilty burn them alive and make the nation watch on the six o clock news

If it was legal to carry a gun they would not have bothered with the knife. they would have been straight in there with the gun.

if you read my post again you will see I said if it was compulsory (a legal requirement for everyone to carry a pistol at all times)

Worked with a kleptomaniac in a shop.
Within 10 minutes of opening the till was £20 down.
Hadn't had one customer.
I asked him what happened.
He grins and says "I just love the buzz of stealing.".
It was only us two in the shop.
