You're not alone as there was a distinct smell of woodsmoke when I got up this morning, mind I also got a whiff of MDF burning.

That is a crime against humanity (in the UK at least!)

 

Just back from Greece and there is a very noticeable temp drop but I’ve already told her, “not before November!”

 

It’s unlikely I’ll win but it’s important to at least try and set some clear parameters!!

Had the Rayburn lit most of August to keep 88yr old father in law warm, we have been struggling. He was up here escaping the heat in Suffolk.

Snap - same here,. The upstairs open fire is brilliant at moving the air about the house, We have a small fire up there most months just for that.
