I do this with the shrubs in my back garden, big standard  flymo collector, all hedge an shrub pruning and now them up! Lavender, Thyme and the horrible lemon mint eta. Then it goes in council green waste bin! Tidy enough for me.....

Hi there, does anybody use a mulching mower for hedge trimmings?

I saw a video last night and a guy runs a mulcher over the trimmings and then blows the pile into the hedge. Cleans up a treat.

Not thought of this before. i know nothing about mulching whats a good machine to start.

i only do a few jobs weekends etc.

Most lose what they can under a hedge, the rest gets lost when its loaded onto an open truck or trailer and twatted back to the yard.:)

been doin it for years, just spread the clipping out thin and wide and mow over em with a mulching mower.. then put bag on to pick up if you have to..  blow the rest inside the hedge for best results...

[emoji23][emoji23] back to the origanal post though ive driven over 4ft plus hawthorns with the destroyer mulcher and theres just a pulp of sawdust and bits of chip so can definetley see the benifits of mulching headge clipping even if i am on the other end of the scale

Me too except I got mine off freegle.

I enquired here about getting a high lift blade just for this purpose.

I'm also considering if I could modify it to do a bit of lawn levelling with a scarifier tine.
