T Mech Stump grinder

The lads doing the domestic work have been moaning their holes off about getting a stump grinder they can throw over a fence so I bought one. Got a T mech , phoned up the guy selling them and he reckoned of the hundreds he has sold only one has come back with problems. So here we go and a grand including delivery later

 

 

What lurks within ?

 

 

Comes built up with the exception of the wheels, brake and the frame with the throttle and brake on it,

 

 

 

Throttle control is decent with a ratchet/thumb  mechanism.

 

 

Kill switch and deadmans cord

 

 

Cutter wheel is mounted on a couple of plumber block bearings with the industry norm exposed and vulnerable grease nipples, teeth have a good amount of carbide on them so should take a few sharpens, a new set is £65.

 

 

 

Skirts are made of some sort of hard vinyl shite  , think this will get changed for some rubber.

 

Fecking thing is blue Started first pull, its on a centrifugal clutch . will see how it goes.

Interested to see how this goes. Doesn't look heavy enough to me and will probably bounce off a decent stump. Certainly cheap though and will go through a 2' 6" gate. Hope it works out for you and look forward to hearing your review!

i got a little rock stump grinder, 6.5 hp jobbie.

been a cracking machine, saved the day when the predator 28 puked its guts up and had to do a 2 ft dia holly.

Dont get me wrong its always last choice but it gets where virtually everything else bar a alpine magnum wont.

and cheap!

not worth getting rid of as it paid its self off in about 3 months of minimal use!

These little one definately have their place!

Its 13hp and the same weight bar a few kg as the rayco  RG13 ,   there is an old willow stump in the yard so I will bounce it off that tomorrow and see how it goes.

Willow is a test for any machine! Give the poor thing a chance!

I think willow and silver birch are two of my least favourite types to grind. Very fibrous and require sharp teeth!

Worst one ever was a Holme Oak which was absolutely massive and had to be taken out completely! I've never seen so much wood underground.
