Just to be pedantic, all liquids are compressible to some degree - just not a lot. Except silicone break fluid which is compressible a lot.

not really, their state of compression can be effected in a very minor way by changing temperature. Not by compression!

How about I stand on a hose pipe while you look into the end of it to see what the problem is?

Of course you can crush a pipe that has water in it!?

I should know, I'm an expert on plumbertalk.com.

Water pressure has dropped off to house in the last couple of years, have checked for leak found a couple of small leaks between mine and house up the road this is all on private property   but still bad.
Pipe travels by a oak tree so has anyone now if root can squash pipe to cause restricted flow.

You dug a hole yet woody paul?
