Its the biggest Douglas fir in the world, ad about two and a half hours from where I live. Video from a road trip to see it and a couple other cool sites in the area. Its 25 mins so you need a bit of time to watch.

I wanna ask you if you have a job , it looks lush ! Would love to fish that river!
I know around my way the clear fells are not replanted straight away because of pine weevil , it takes at least a couple of years to bring the population down after felling,felling for some reason brings out a boom in the population ,even with spraying and sticking more crap in to the environment after that time it is still hit n miss but they recon if planted In those first two years it would absolutely decimate replanting and make it a failure .... but then again yours is a different environment.
