Husqvarna Combi Can question/ problem

Hi there,

I'm hoping someone who uses one of these regularly might be able to help. I've had one for a year but only use it occasionally, so it goes a few months at a time without being used. The problem is the self stopping spout on the petrol, which doesn't stop, therefore making a lovely mess (worked fine to start with though). The issue is that it doesn't 'pop back' properly, and gets jammed a few mm from closing. I bought a replacement spout which also worked fine at first  but now has the exact same problem. Thinking it must be me, as both worked to start with and what are the chances of getting two that are faulty?

Any suggestions or experiences in resolving this greatly appreciated (I have already trawled google and these forums)

Apologies if I've posted in the wrong forum

James

I love Stihl twisty fuel caps?

these things never last long.  Shame as they had the opportunity to improve on the previous ones which were possibly even worse

Me too!

I use the oregon combi can (much cheaper than the stihl one. Had the Oregon spouts but the oil spout was painfully slow so I put a stihl one on it and its great
