Facial chainsaw injury photo NSFW

Recommended Posts

Just saw this on facebook.  A reminder how important it is to maintain safe work positioning when using a chainsaw, particularly when one handed.  Although if you slip when you're cutting 1 or 2 hands won't necessarily make a difference.  I don't know the details about this particular incident though.

Quite a gruesome picture so don't scroll down if you're squeamish.

Also a good reminder that chainsaws dont really cut like a knife, they remove material, there's parts of his face lying on a lawn or in a forest somewhere, probably eaten by crows by now right enough.

Mate of mine put a 036 into his arm a while back, when I used it next there were chunks of him in the teeth, and the exhaust smelt of barbeque

It's a terrible thing,
My sympathies with the chap.
However I believe posting photos like this is very important.
I've spoken with many a young groundie about using a top handled saw on the ground.
They all say the same thing "but I can use it one handed".
Trying to explain makes you look like an elf n type.
Pictures speak a thousand words.
