What's the longest you've spent throwing a throw bag?

This is where SRT wins every time Bill, you don't have to isolate a crotch. You can always switch systems when you're up there.

Back in the day me and my old gaffer spent about 2 hours trying to get into a big pine at a convent for an inspection.

I did hit a decent anchor eventually, but cocked up trying to install a cambium saver and pulled everything out, so we went home.

Back the following week I hit a decent anchor quite early.

I can still picture the sight of him yarking his way up miles on a prusik with the rope running over a big, rough, sticky limb.

as I have the patience of a pissed off rattlesnake, I give it 5 throws and put it away. My throwing skills are lamentable, despite spending years doing it...you can't have it all!. I work with  SRT gimps who are awesome with throw-ins, I silently curse them as they make the top anchor with the first throw....aint life a bitch?!..I have to say, in 23 years, I've never had to untangle my ladders.....:)

One of my strong suits, which still amazes me ‘cos I can’t throw a ball to save my life. Basket method between the legs and I can usually get through the fork in 3 goes. (Not boasting). If I can’t get it in 10 mins it’s ladder or spikes.
The first time I saw someone who was really good with a throw line was on a rigging course and the instructor hit a caribiner and rope that had got stuck about 50’ up in a tree. He hit it out in 2 shots, couldn’t believe my eyes and never thought I’d ever be any good myself.
