Is it supposed to reach you?  We have only 35mph winds here apparently

I've been out walking and noticed the sun looks like a warning light. It's unseasonably warm here in Derbyshire as well.

Where's that Matty?  No sun in sunny Newcastle, the sky looks like it's from bladerunner.  Weird orange tinge.

No sign of any sun in allendale but very odd light all morning so far. Definitely puffing a bit out side now. Dead mild also

We have that orange/red sun here in West Sussex .  Bit like when a sand storm is brewing up in the desert . Not much wind though .

We're in the thick of it right now in Co Cork Ireland. Power gone across the entire county , gusts averaging 160 kmh+. One recorded at 193kmh , loads of damage to buildings. Trees down across almost every main road never mind the smaller less recorded routes. Wind was coming from SE now switched to SW and increasing in violence. Should be this way for another 4 hours !
Because of danger NO emergency crews of any sort are being sent out yet.
Should be good for business later. All neighbours coming round here, generator flat out and kettle always on.
Anyone expecting this to pass their way believe the warnings it's extreme.

Believe it's going to increase in ferocity yet, the north side of the storm has intense but less strong wind speed than the south side. The whole system slowly moving NNE , eye of storm just below Shannon estuary at moment will be in northern counties in about 2-3hours.
