Mike Peters from the Alarm.

 

My little sis thought they were ace and saw them in the very early 80's before U2 out pipped them in the popularity stakes.

 

Never realised he had blood cancer and was awarded MBE for services.

Got a few singles by the Alarm (or early versions of CD,s as my kids once called em) they where a decent band back in the day and well worth listening to, RIP Mr Peters,,
