You need to use a paint brush and white spirit on the dirty parts, put the saw in to a booth, box, large card board box etc and use an air line, anything else is just slow and laborious. You need to be a bit smarter to catch as much crud as you can but it still gets everywhere.....!!

Yes my wife pointed that out !!

Just give each saw a quick blast off with the airline after each job, includingair filters...keeps them clean enough....any thing that doesn't remove with that clearly shouldn't be plastered on the saw if your using it right?

You’ve obviously never had to fell and sned out any Grandis then!!??

What’s the best way to clean the shit off you’re saw and not just blast it all over your workshop , bench and floor ? Just to save covering everything with saw dust , oil and cleaner .

The best bet is not to shit on it in the first place . Shovel , bog roll and hole I seem to remember ?

If it's really bad then I use a steam cleaner set hot but low pressure and am mindful of not sticking it up the air intake. Only thing to watch is to run things like strimmers up after this, otherwise if you don't use them for months you can end up with a clean strimmer but a rusted solid clutch?‍♂️
