I did my training over at Moreton Morrell...

I had never cut a tree down before....

I made mistakes...

 

The important thing is learning from your mistakes.

 

 

I go to a college for my hair cuts....

It's cut/coloured by students...

They make mistakes....

 

They learn from them.

 

Great to see students enjoying what they are learning.

With that set up I'm guessing you're either a very keen hobbyist outside of tree work or you just appreciate good gear.

 

With regard to the felling cut; that's low compared to what the guys in NZ are taught. I'll try and get some shots. Plenty of time to get it right by the end of the course. Great shots too. Nice to see the time taken to show guys enjoying learning.

Probably fabricated in a body shop aka gym though! My arms are scrawny by comparison, but they've outperformed many a gymbie.

You really need to get up earlier in the morning.

 

I've learnt by my own mistakes. I'd rather people learnt from mine than get hurt or cause damage by their own.

 

Yep, so do students and apprentices, jumping in and stopping someone half way through and then explaining what they should have done teaches nothing, allowing them to get things wrong ( or at least not perfect ) allows them to look, compare with good examples and learn........
