Ash are late

Does anyone actually take notes of the date each year when the different trees come into leaf or is this just all speculation??

Ash out here but was way behind the Oak which has been in full leaf for weeks now . I agree with Mark .

Oak has come out before ash every year in memory.

Over the last 40 years in Norfolk, oak has emerged before ash in 90% of those years.

Round here the Oak is a little ahead of the Ash, but I can find both that are out and both that aren't.

Trees just do their own thing.

On a job with Rich Rule the last couple of weeks we noticed a pair of copper beech on a village geen, one miles ahead of the other, although they're a sister pair in good health.

The reason the poem is so wrong is that we've had some awful summers as well as some belters when oak has come out miles ahead as usual.

Don't even get me started on that shifty firewood poem.
