Oak has come out before ash every year in memory.

Those old poems are total bs.

 

 

Not entirely true Mark, but almost.

 

Over the last 40 years in Norfolk, oak has emerged before ash in 90% of those years.

 

 

 

Ash have been unfurling over the last couple of weeks in north London.

What Huck says is also true.

Trees just do their own thing.

On a job with Rich Rule the last couple of weeks we noticed a pair of copper beech on a village geen, one miles ahead of the other, although they're a sister pair in good health.

The reason the poem is so wrong is that we've had some awful summers as well as some belters when oak has come out miles ahead as usual.

Don't even get me started on that shifty firewood poem.
