I prefer to stand up for what I believe is right rather than roll with it and see it continue.

I think there's heaps of people that use "gay" as a negative for example, I find that unacceptable and whenever I confront a conversation partner with that fact face-to-face it's invariably agreed with. The use of the term is just so ingrained people don't see it as a problem.

just like people didn't see the use of the word nigger as an issue, or racism in general, but unless people stand up and say no, others will continue to get hurt needlessly.

I'm not gay, yet I find using the word as a negative unacceptable.

Perhaps the world would be a better place if people were less willing to get offended on the behalf of others?

I wasn't really offended, that doesn't mean I think such should go unchallenged.

 

The use of the word gay is fine.

 

The use of the word gay as a negative is not, as it infers whatever the subject of conversation is is worse just like homosexuality is worse than heterosexuality.

 

Do you actually believe the use of the word nigger is acceptable because it's spelling is close to that of a nation named after a river?:confused1:
