Thanks to Brexit......

We may no longer be required to fund such studies by a team of 11 researchers at the Institute for European environmental policy (IEEP) who spent a year reviewing more than 200 academic studies for the report, which is the most wide-ranging probe yet into the dynamics of health, nature and wellbeing.

Pants, a bunch of geeks were paid to look at other people's work and produce a 4 page document (http://www.foeeurope.org/sites/default/files/biodiversity/2017/briefing_nature_health_equity_march2017.pdf) which is wooly at best, has no particular specific point or originality nor does it really compel anyone to do anything....

So the point of it was? :confused1:

I might have peaked a bit early there!

The source document: http://ec.europa.eu/environment/nature/biodiversity/intro/docs/Health%20and%20Social%20Benefits%20of%20Nature%20-%20Final%20Report%20Main%20sent.pdf

Looks to be a bit more detailed..... Still pretty weak output for 11 people over a year!

The BBC reporting of Brexit was extremely biased against leaving, maybe one day they will be proved correct in their prediction maybe they will be proved wrong. The point is that nobody knows yet and nor can they.

The job of the BBC news in my opinion should be to report facts, not someone's biased opinions.

I have no faith left in them whatsoever and feel very disappointed in their actions/reporting, it was a very long way from being impartial.

My opinion of the BBC reaches a new low.

At least North Korea gets their propaganda for free. We have to pay for it :(

Nick Robinson: BBC has no duty to 'broadly balance'*Brexit reports as referendum is over

Only if you choose to watch it. In the UK you can choose to forgo paying the TV licence even if you own a TV, provided you don't watch live broadcasts. If I understand correctly?

I think up to last year you never needed a licence if you only watched the BBC on the internet. However I think you need a TV licence now :(

I got some payback on the BBC last year. I got my renewal notice in and I ignored it for two months. When I did pay it I told them I wasn't in my flat for the two months :) and it effectively meant I got two months free :)

Gents,

Even a grumpy, non flag-waving curmudgon like me, has started to feel a bit of pride in being British.

I suspect I am not the only one.

This is all that is needed, confidence in our country and our abilities.

And welcome hard working immigrants with open arms, as long as they learn English, abide by our Laws, and assimilate.

Bring it on.

P.S.

Can we also export the native bred dross from within our own communities?

cheers

Marcus

Ahhh- I think we did that a long while ago and invented Australia :P K
