This thread is like a cross between an episode of the young ones and a student union meeting. An anonymous coward who for reasons know only to him won’t even say what he does  for a living  commenting on a two time president of the USA and the richest man in the world both of whom are apparently dumb.
The dumb ones are those who are suprised at what he’s doing 🤷‍♂️he campaigned on America first and made no effort to hide his intentions. When those car plants relocate to America he will have kept his promise to those who voted for him.

Stock market value isn't real money. Even "real" money isn't real money, nowadays. In the 80's, the Japan bubble valued the imperial palace real estate at X5 the value of the state of California.

Trump approval is ~47%

Democrat Party approval is ~29%

Aren't you grateful for Brexit now? You're only paying 10% tariffs vs EU 2O%. Lucky ba$$$tards 😆

I thought it had been established that it is the american consumer that pays these tariffs and that the money goes to the american treasury: ie that it is a tax on americans not us.

Well, yes, if they keep on buying our product. Which they won't, as much. They will buy more American product instead.

So, either we drop our price to cover the tarrif and stay competitive (we pay the tarrif) or we lose sales.

We both know it's not rocket science, he even stood there with a placard for the hard of thinking.

Mostly reciprocal tariffs, then the MSM are decrying fair trade. Erm, you might find these are now equal terms and now the consumer decides and buys local 1st.

You're average person has no clue about the complexity of the Taric lists for imports.

Does anyone else think that it's curious that Russia didn't make it onto the Tariff Boards of Shame at all?

Imagine if all the Trumph haters had spent as much time investigating Tony Blair as they had slinging shite at Donald.

For this forum there is of course a related thread "who like Labour", which is a thread for knocking the current democratically elected UK government. Quite quiet over there just now, assuming people are content.

This thread, related to the current US president, so knocking Trump here is acceptable.

Comparing the 2 though, I cannot see Kier Starmer talking himself into world war 3 and a recession, where as every time Trump opens his mouth.. that is only just around the corner. Going back in history too, Blair was just following the Republican president and supporting the UKs allies - a lesson that the US might remember just who has stood with them.
