Is there out there, a chainsaw chain that can deal with nail gun sized nails in pallet wood??

Boss has taken delivery of pallet wood, complete with their nails! :001_huh:

So instead of wasting loads of time looking for the nails and deciding 'where to cut' every second, could you use a chain that'll just munch through the nails...??? :confused1:

Why bother? I can't see how breaking up pallets can make anyone money. If it's kindling you want, I've stacks of cedar edgings (mostly small stuff) at £18 a tonne. Need to break up a lot of pallets to get a tonne!

Not me Big J... Him! :sneaky2:

Was offered cash to take them, as they knew he did 'wood'.... :001_rolleyes:

And so when they arrived, it was 'ooh we'll (more like ME!) do X,Y and Z with it'....

He knows of one person that'll take pallet wood for burning - they're not bothered about nails etc...

The wood is totally clean though, untreated etc.

You mention the rage saw though...?

I've seen years ago, that you could get a similar blade for normal Stihl saws too...

Thoughts on them??

Pallets brilliant firewood amongst a whole load of other secondary uses (and still for firewood as a tertiary use). Just avoid the blocks. I have found the best way to reduce pallets is with a hand circular saw. Smashing them up would just create lots of useless splintered rubbish.
