best time to prune horse chestnuts

I've got to reduce a horse chestnut for a regular customer of mine and just wandered about the best time to do this? Will now be OK, tbh honest there are very few horse chestnuts round my way and the ones that I've seen are suffering from leaf minor. So i thought i'd see if there was a best time to prune them before diving in.

cheers guys!

cheers for the replies guys, i did think spring was a bad idea. I suppose it may be worth waiting until Jan/Feb then? I'll speak to the customer and see if their willing to wait.

Out of interest how many of you guys leave pruning of particular trees to a certain time of the year?
