Aye, it is. Coupled with the backwards abortion laws over there I think we might as well have gone back to the days of burning witches.

I havent understood the purpose of saftry bumpers, as they would always be lower than the rakers and not touching wood...? Powdery chips, as would with high rakers? or does it suck power out of the cut?

Would you be concerned about buying a house next to these trees?
Stout replied to Stout's question in Homeowners Tree Advice Forum
Ok thanks all, think I'll try speak to the tree surveyor/arboriculturalist (think that's a new word for me) and see if they think they can do anything meaningful without getting direct access. And yes - Building Survey = level 3 survey, so the top one. But you're probably right that they won't say what's causing it.. - Today

Ah nuts, I found the source of the carb problem. Dust infiltration. The new air filter isn't seated tight enough.

Ash tree with dieback - whose responsibility?
AHPP replied to Pidgeonpost's topic in Trees and the Law
Since this is about state records now: I’m anecdotally aware that anyone presenting themselves to a council office in business hours can demand to see a TPO on paper for free. What’s the bit of law that compels councils to show you? I went looking for a similar right to inspect land reg documents for free the other day and came up wanting. Bastards. -
You’re going from strength to strength, Pete.

Fire in garden, can trees be saved?
Codythedog replied to Codythedog's question in Homeowners Tree Advice Forum
The photo is from inside our garden. Any replacement fences can go to 6ft and then you can have a trellis but can only add another 18 inches on top of that roughly. The trees currently are about as tall as my house so give loads of privacy whereas a fence, even a massive fence that needed planning permission wouldn’t be ideal at all. -

Morning all, Rain here for the day. Fine by me, 3 days back in and achey and tired, largely due to lingering virus no doubt picked up in airport/plane. A day to do some office work, drink coffee, and maybe later try to diagnose petrol leak on Countax mower. I would guess at the carb float chamber/needle valve.

Yeah. I take back what I said about the oil volume. Its not excessive. It’s right. Other things have too little. Things should work easily, not marginally. He says using everything he has at 150%, 95% of the time…

To attach myself to the tree when making cuts and organising the rope etc. But you’re right it was pointless.
