  1. Past hour
  2. Any idea if it would need marking battery storage,
  3. Summer limb drop . Beach are prone to it I have found . Dunnow how best to protect the wound . Sorry .
  4. And its bonkers now that they have got AI checking to see if its AI . Kinda disappears up its own arse .
  5. Today
  6. The other morning there was an awful noise as this huge branch split from the main trunk. No wind at all, the cracking a groaning sounded like a firework display Anyway it is one of half a dozen that stand on the garden boundary and they are very fine trees and healthy and we want to do our best to keep them. The question is how best to stop water entering the split and rot the trunk. I have used Arbrex successfully in smaller area but this would need a large amount. Are there any other mixes that I could make that would not cost too much to fill the split? I tried to push the remains of the limb into the main trunk with the telehandler boom to make the hole smaller, but it would not move even an inch and the telehandler has quite a lot of pushing power. Must be reaction wood
  7. I kinda see ai as something humans thought of so they could appropriate blame to something other than themselves, or anyone else who could deny blame. their vision of ai purely from an observation of intelligence is that of terminator levels,,, my personal views based on current experience is it's more like a 1960,s twin tub.
  8. Rigggght, so I'm guessing you're off to search high and low for a bonnie blue fleshlight. But it's probably a b&q bucket with a couple of dishcloths in the bottom.
  9. AI will help Incels and the female equivalent - lonely MAGA ladies will get a TrumpGPT love bot - as Trump has been known to 'wipe the floor' with mere mortals, why settle for a bonk with some trailer park loser when TrumpGPT will give you a good ravishing for only 75 dollars a month?
  10. Torrential rain , thunder and lightening . Left the sunshine roof open in my truck ( DHO ) . Luckily the rain set the alarm off so it only half filled with water ! 🙂

    Jokes???

  12. I'm going leave it a year or so and then start selling stuff that hasn't been enshittified with AI. I'll be laughing all the way to the bank as it'll be a niche market by then. Just imagine the the novelty of being able to trust something that's been written or spoken.
  13. Have I pointed out that AI is shit this week? A mate (solicitor) was over looking at a legal thing with me the other day. "Hang on. I'll put it through chat GPT." "Don't bother. It's shit. You can't trust it." "I use it all the time. It's fine as long as you verify the answers." So he puts it through chap GPT, looks puzzled at his phone for about 30 seconds and then reads something utterly unrelated. In the mean time, I've found the answer the longer-form way and am making a mental note to never pay him for anything on billable hours. Or indeed at all.
  14. You can of course relax, there was a list on the news yesterday Microsoft have made a list of the professions that AI are going to wipe out, manual work (ie. tree stuff) is safe, customers service phone reps are screwed. Entry level graduate jobs have been wiped out - managers just use AI - but are not hiring anyone to to become experienced to do the stuff AI cannot. (onto topic, one of the very few things Trump (or his advisers at least) has done is try to encouraging chip manufacturers to return to the US - AI chips are the next big thing)
  15. A while ago we had a guy with a macro that would screw up a drawing he was sending out - not every drawing of course, just the really really important ones - text and hatches converted to lines, random elevations (on 2d drawings) - but only by tiny amounts so it was still useable but drove the customers CAD guys mad (CAD guys all have 'special interests' type of people).
  16. It kinda ment something before 2000s. Now it's definitely more a pigeon hole for Z. As X & Y were easy to separate those that lived as tech was becoming useful but was very analogue Vs those like myself where technology was evolving at such a rate. If you get my clumsy explanation, now it's all AI & nonsensical social media guff and mostly nonsense.
  17. Thanks, I will have a look at that. I don't do much develoment stuff, when I do I have been using Axiscape, which also relies on dxfs. My pet peeve is when they throw in a 3D layer onto an otherwise 2D model.
  18. Apps are old school mate, it's all about finding an AI Tool to do everything for you now. It doesn't seem like many in any of those groups knows how to feed themselves. Just look at the ubiquitous UPF/junk "food" that we're surrounded by. Or the flocks of Deliverpoo riders feeding people poo 24/7. Crazy world when you step back and look at it.
  19. I've always been unsure about all these wacky cohort names that get bandied around, so that was a useful reference. I doubt I'll remember by tomorrow though. In the interests of the all important transparency; I'm a solid Gen X. Before 43 (ND) gets his knickers in a twist about internet anonymity or something!
  20. oh, it's another way of pigeonholing people into various invented sections, like alphabet idiots, and fecking mentally ill twats who think they are animals. looking at it the only thing that leaps out is fact each successive generation loses more of the ability to think for themselves, and a reliance on gadgets and tech, how many of those groups know how to feed themselves? the animal kingdom adapts to survive, the human race looks for the latest "app" oh well not long now and I can give less ****************s about it than I do currently.
  21. Cue, the almost mandatory "okay boomer" comments 😄
  22. Boomers, Gen X, Gen Y, Gen Z, and Gen A explained WWW.KASASA.COM What separates Generation X from Y. How about Gen Z and Gen A? Who are the Millennials? They’re in vastly different...
  23. I'm glad to hear this, I have been advocating biochar for a long time now, over 15 years.
