  1. Past hour
  2. Had a spare day so continued with friends garden - its been a slow one. In 2023 I removed 5 leylandii, one of them massive, and a dangerous rotten poplar. Earlier this year I stump ground the bigger two out, the smaller ones were done with mattock. Today I started levelling. First job was trim it low and chase the small roots with mattock. Then digging mostly with mattock and spreading with rake. Old before pic Once I get the dirt spread theres a huge slab of concrete after the path, I'll be letting one of her friends shift that and the path, I might help.
  3. You thinking "big cat"? not ridiculing you at all, had plenty of "incidents" over the last 50 or so years.
  4. I'm sure the op is aware of that,as am I, however maybe he will find a way instead of looking for an excuse not to do it. he did after all ask how to find work in Scandinavia, and may have a passport and was looking for a more work oriented reply. Do I need a visa for Scandinavia from the UK? Visa requirements You can travel without a visa to the Schengen area, which includes Norway, for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. This applies if you travel: as a tourist. to visit family or friends.
  5. Coconut

    Day rate

What factors and what sort of price ranges are you thinking? And yes I have enough work, just never want to say no so seeing what can be got really.
  6. That's a little concerning. In this country.
  7. Without question, and even if it was within RIDDOR days, would it even qualify to be required to e acknowledged, sounds like user error bullshit to me.
  8. Nope, kicked it to the curb! Done it a dozen times over the last 25 years and while I like a show, it cost too much tbh!
  9. Unfortunately times have changed and although you never left the UK and just drove around in a van, those halcion days are no more, and any young person without any imagination is ****************ed without an an EU passport due to Brexit. You can’t just rock up anywhere in the EU any more without an EU passport and get work, Brexit ended that option, but at least a few welders go apprenticeships on Tyneside so all is well, eh?
  10. Today
  11. No royal Welsh for you this year then Pete
  12. Saw Black Dabbath in the mid/late 70's for the Heaven and He'll tour with Ronnie Jsmes Dio at the Brum Ideon. Good, but missed Ozzy!
  13. never been to Scandinavia, but in my very much younger days was "nomadic" for a while, and lived in a Thames 15cwt van, I just drove around, Wiltshire, Wales, east Anglia, and many more locations, and I have Knocked on many doors asking for work, had a few that said no, but many gave me work, mending stuff, odd bit of felling, splitting, helping out at harvest, I'm thinking maybe a recreational trip to Scandinavia, and putting the word about, these days qualifications are required, if you have them, say so when making your inquiries, don't aim too high, if somebody gives you an opportunity, take it, do a good job, hopefully it will plant a good seed and you may get more offers on the back of it. Good Luck.
  14. Absolute genius of a man musically - loved a lot of his stuff. Will be sorely missed 🥲
  15. Whatever you do decide with the landlord what each of you wants from this, write it in a contract. Remember a gentlemens' agreement is an agreement between two people, neither of whom are gentlemen and neither expects to fulfill his part of the agreement. I can relate a story or two about gentlemens'' agreements. From what I understand you do not have much to bring to the table and are at the mercy of your landlord's goodwill.
  16. Lot of factors involved..I agree with you but its not that easy
  17. Total bollocks Steven. Do you think the current mass ,unvetted immigration is a positive gain for GB or a negative? Here is another example. You and your mates are out for a winter ramble,a storm comes in and your soon soaked, bordering on hypothermic. You look on the map and make a B-line to the closest shelter that happens to be an Army base. Freezing, you plead your case at the gate. Do you A: Get given a grey blanket each and a cup of coffee while sitting in the back of a 4 tonner while the kindly Sergeant calls a cab Or B A pass to allow you to wander the base, use the ablution block,Naafi,Rec room, mess and Bar until you feel like leaving? Which of the above scenarios is more likely and why ?
  18. Not really my bag, but I appreciate his legendary status. Great for them and the fans that they managed to that last big show in Brum a couple weeks ago.
  19. Just read it elsewhere, not my thing but a legend of rock. To be fair he did well to make his mid 70's considering the abuse he gave himself over the years. RIP.
  20. 20x more likely a small variation and it’s certainly not got better since this data was utilised. 🤔
  21. Robo wincho out the last 2 days!
  22. Loved the smell of some of the firs we would come across house would smell handsome when it was next to tge log burner drying. Some were a pain to prcess on the sawbench though as the grain structure made it want to clamp to the blade.
