Oh it probably hasn’t helped mate, for sure.

Prawn curry. So yeah, spicy prawn stew really! Hot hot. Normally the boy eats with us as well, so I've not really been able to add chilli to stuff. This evening though he had something else so I made free. A bit too free of I'm honest, went a little overboard!

Probably exacerbated by it though. I first noted white finger when I was 16 and riding motorbikes but it got worse from harvesting timber.

I was going to use a picture of a really emo kid but I didn't want to exclude Mick Dempsey's Non-Stop Oldies from the conversation.

Try and find a NRV to fit before the filter to stop leak back, maybe strip the mechanical lift pump as it may have rubbish in a valve prevent a good suction/pump.

I ‘lost’ my fingers this morning on a simple, short connie job in the sleet. It’s a total bastard. The best gloves I’ve found that you can climb in are Pfanner ice grips. Those teabag style warmers are good, but getting pricey now. I’ve got a pair of rechargeable rock type things from Amazon that are worth a look. Saved my arse today. My Raynauds definitely isn’t work related. My fingers used to turn bone white on rugby pitches in Northumberland winters when I was about 8. Base layers with thumb holes help more than you’d think.

They dont do one, only full size die grinders. That would be like using a Stihl 500i for pruning a fruit tree.

She is milking it for all it’s worth, coining it in playing the victim card, she will probably be standing as a Reform candidate in the next election, maybe she stand in the Anglesey seat. Anyway, Im off out for a beer or two, some of us are still capable of going out after dark in our own Country without shitting ourselves. 👍

She's been a gift for the right wing populists on both sides of the pond. ‘Two-tier Britain’: how Lucy Connolly became a cause célèbre for the right | Far right | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Woman jailed for social media post after Southport attack has been seized on as a symbol that free speech is supposedly... Probably doing alright for herself afterwards as well. A lucrative bit of twittering. Who says crime doesn't pay? https://www.itv.com/news/anglia/2025-09-07/lucy-connolly-receives-loud-cheers-as-she-appears-at-reform-uk-conference

No, I just recognise disparity in justice when I see it.

Plenty of good advice above. I would replace the fuel lines and jubilee clips and go from there as it sounds like the fuel is running back into the tank over time. If that doesn't work then its diesel pump recon time IMO.

A customer brought a bit of a battered 291 in a couple of weeks ago with an issue. I had a chance to look at it this week, I think he's had his moneys worth out of the clutch drum to say the least. It was a bit of a job to get he drum off as it had ripped to bits and was well and truly jammed up in the cashing and the brake band. This was the state of it. The big problem was getting the clutch off, the drum had taken the end of the worm wheel spring so tit had to come off. I usually just use an impact wrench to whizz clutches off but his time it was having none of it. I tried penetrating fluid which didn't help then tried the old piston stop and big socket bar and that didn't move it so I tried a windy gun and still nothing! The only options I thought about where to cut it off with a grinder or give it some heat. These machines are just made of plastic, plastic pump, plastic casing etc. I gave the heat a go to save the clutch but not loads of heat and it actually worked, usually you have to heat stuff up to cherry red to get them to move but I think the oil from the day before may have helped. I still had to wind the air gun up but it did pop off first spin. Not got it back together yet as we didn't have the worm wheel in stock but it should be up and running next week. If I come accross this issue again I think I will tap one of the mechanics up in the next unit for their snap on wrench.

Yet more whataboutery. She was found guilty of a hate crime, encouraging racial hatred on social media, after reacting to right wing populist bullshit that turned out to be incorrect, all this on the day that the children where killed in Southport, play stupid games, win stupid prizes, I have zero sympathy for her. She is being held up as the darling victim for the right wing populist press, and you have clearly also got her in your wank bank.

She was certainly guilty of saying some vile stuff on social media. In truth probably no worse than a million things said by UK citizens on the internet every day.
