Husqvarna 550xp mark2 weird high reving issue?
Mick Dempsey replied to biggimmer's topic in Chainsaws
Is replacing a crank seal a guaranteed fix? I’m addressing the saw pro guys btw. Does a compromised crank seal not point to other issues? Can it running lean (if that’s what happens) not create issues with rings and overheating? Genuine question. -
Morning all, Early drizzle should clear then small job just up my lane. Dismantle small spruce between BT lines then small conifer next to it. Have a good weekend.

Ok thanks for the replies. I'll get a seal ordered and take it to the local repair man.

Did you take the whole tree out, or just topping it?

Morning all. Decent fettle this morning, been a good week. Got a couple of bigger jobs that were pending completed and the storm work list is completed. We've been a productive bunch and had a good laugh. Even managed to avoid a hellish Halloween drag yesterday which was the icing on the week! Could have been going up that winding, busy garden path and between the buildings behind then across a road but, this worked out. VID-20251031-WA0002.mp4 Have a good one folks.

Finished up my Robo job yesterday, I’ve never worked in a place with so many birds of prey, at 1 time there was a White tail Eagle, buzzards, kite sparrow hawk I think and a kestrel all while a domestic type cat hunted the ground , a pheasant mooched about and the ravens passed by for anything else going. Hit a pheasant 2 nights ago heading home, didn’t realise until yesterday afternoon my number plate was missing, upon inspection I found this.

Morning team, similar here weather wise, dry for now. I was hoping for heavy rain last night as I’ve a large willow in the river that’s go no other place to go apart from down stream. Breakfast then I’ll head off to the cut n run and try now fall in.

Mornin’ all. Dampish here, going shopping then a couple of jobs to look at, been a good week, and a good month as it goes. Slow start to the year, picked up as the year went on, now rattling along well.

50p beer was proper shit beer though, the dregs from whatever brewery had a few barrels 'best before' last week style.

MS 036 -- how easy will it be to get parts for this model?
Mark_Skyland replied to HackneyAndBeyond's topic in Chainsaws
Lots of parts are still available for the 036 MS360 but IIRC some bits aren't. Its going back awhile but I'm sure someone wanted a crankcase which is no longer available. -
When I started drinking in the club it was 97p for a pint of LCL. That would be about 1992/3. It was also 97p for ten regal king size, a box of matches, and a pack of polos, back in 1989.

Husqvarna 550xp mark2 weird high reving issue?
Mark_Skyland replied to biggimmer's topic in Chainsaws
Yes another waste of electronic kit IMO that will never earn its money back. I must have £1000+ of diagnostic kit that's only ever used to setup up new carbs. TBH I don't recall any instance that the kit has helped with repairing a machine.
