I got lucky and found one of these, however it came with the wrong bar and chain, it should run a 404, but this had a 325 fitted. the bar is an old roller tip [not a sprocket tip] and while it fits and oils fine it's not suited to 404 chain. it looks like a universal fitment of some kind as its got multiple holes for adjustment and oiling. the slot is 9.5 . so I require a bar that will fit a Jonsereds XF, for a 404 063 chain somewhere between 16"-20" although at 110cc I reckon it will pull a tad longer. I can make a chain to suit once I have a bar. cant find much relating to bar mount pattern and despite having more than a few bars I ain't got one that fits right on. any help would be greatly appreciated so I can get it in some wood.

Bit of bank clearance today, started by felling and snedding, then doh, there is a 3 ton 👹 Semi controlled chaos ensued and now it just needs a bit of fettleing.

If you find TDC by placing something like a sccrewdriver into the plug hole and rotate the engine until the screwdriver is at its furthest point protruding outwards, it it is on the correct stroke then both valves should be fully closed (so you can 'waggle' both rocker arms so they arent under any pressure) then you can adjust both valve clearances...on briggs OHV engines its between 0.004" and 0.008" this is a Honda clone, so may be different. If on the stroke where you have TDC only one vavle rocker can be 'waggled' then you will need to rotate the engine fully so the next stroke will close both valves.

Take the plug out. The inlet is the one that opens as the piston goes down and the exhaust opens as the piston comes up as long as the engine is rotated in the right direction.

Which valve is which pls? Both same distance away from exhaust & carb???

My set up for Tobroco giant. Pulled over a number of trees with it also used it to recover loader when I got it stuck in middle of woodland

I rigged out the other small ones over the garage, the 3rd picture was done in two peices. Quite a lot had enough lean away to free fell it. Difficult from a few photos but I'd be interested to know what others would quote. This is for a friend and wont be charged for it, other than to get my mate down to chip and tip. How? Doesnt seem too difficult the main risk below is a lot of potted plants, which could be moved, a nice Acer. Set high anchor and rig for the tops. Once the rope angle gets a bit better I'd be happy piecing it down in small lumps. Small garden but good enough drop zone in the middle and neighbouring garden. I believe Im the only person to have climbed it atleast in recent history. Theres some low wounds that had been done by ladder or silky pole, the rest appears to be from self pruning.
