No casting up, not really an option to cast up from the roadside and from the field it's flat so not like a bank that has fallen down over time. Further down the field there are no trees on the fence line they are 5ft down the bank so will be laying it up the bank. Bit of a tangled mess as it has historically been flailed so pretty tangled at a certain height.

6'4" x 4'4" I just happen to know off the top of my head. 3 cube of logs with a 4' tall box.
  6. AmericanO just has a massive ANSI gate, I dont think its any bigger. Rhino same I dont think its much different A HMS is what you want - they are intended for a munter belay so have more space.
  7. Last 3 pair the insides of the soles broke up and fell out starting from 3 month, completely failed at 6 month.Haix say abuse.Im 13.5 stone, semie retired.
  8. Another ash, trying not to squash the conni below. It was also good to test the clip on my 2511. It works very nicely for one hand stowing.

  10. Well someone is bored it would seem. What a proper dumb arse ignorant statement in both respects. If that’s the best you can come up with “ Pick up trucks don’t belong in Britain “ by Simon Kelner”, then a cheap little racist dig, those two things are supposed to “ get my blood pumping”. FFS come on lad if you are gonna do it at least put some effort in. 😞

Fearsome tailswing. You’re going to have nightmares about that long after you’ve sold it.

There’s a lot of good things in this video. Small vehicles are best. You could have a mortar platform on the truck versions.
  13. I’m thinking this dudes going to run into trouble over the rear axels pretty quick!

Will you cast up from both sides?
  15. So I just recently made the jump to SRT and boy is it nice, only thing is my Ultra O carabiners are a bit crowded between the pulley hitch cord and tether leg. Was looking into getting a carabiner with some more room, and just wanted to get some feedback and see what guys thought about the ones I’m thinking about. So if any of you have used or have any experience with these I’d be thankful to hear your thoughts. The ones I’m thinking of are AmericanO Rhino Phantom HMS and the Shadow HMS The one that interests me the most is the Phantom HMS but if I don’t hear anything I’ll probably get the Rhino. Thanks in advance.

It ain't much but it's honest work. 12ft drop down to the road so a bit precarious bringing all the roadside stuff back into the field.

It looks distinctly unhandy. Try and load a Hobbs into those lockers without getting it in your teeth or denting the ludicrously expensive coachwork. A van floor is two feet lower and you can get in it to manoeuvre said awkward load.
  18. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c1lz2rg0923o no way for honest surgeons, and engineers to carry on is it?
  19. As for canopy backs I have one on mine. Can’t remember the brand but they are pretty popular. As for water tightness. The only time I have had any significant ingress of moisture is in the motor way in torrential rain as your rear or parked up in similar circumstance. The two vertical gaps either side of the tail gate let the water in. BTW. The picture is chipping into the scrub. Also to note FTR. There is a lot less tool crime here in Norway. So not a worry so far in that regard. Locks work well though.
  20. Didn’t have a canopy on it but there are quite a few of the new shape Hilux out here in Thailand. Launched last year, I guess they will be The Eurozone soon enough.
  21. Really? Defender ownership can have downsides? Do tell. 🤪

  25. 4x4, van, 3500kg towing are the 3 main good things that meant I got a 110 hardtop. Add low depreciation, it almost looks sensible. There are a few downsides to owning a defender though.....
  26. @Woodworks How are these coming along? Updated pics please?
