  1. Past hour
  2. Sorry to hear that Les. Good move to share stuff like this and like stubby said we're always on the keyboard, you're amongst mates here! The meds can suit some folk well but don't discount other approaches, in the past when I've felt like that I didn't get on with meds but talking with a professional was much more benefit to me, might be worth asking the GP about those options. Keep talking to us regardless, and if a private message feels right I'm never far from arbtalk! All the best mate.
  3. I have 2 falteimers….or I should say ‘had’. I recently put one in the wash to see if I could renew it somewhat. don’t do that

  8. Morning all, Got up at 4am for a pee and it was so bright from the moon I checked the clock again. Pottering around today. Happy Friday.
  9. Sorry to hear this Les. You're over the first hurdle, reaching out to others. Keep going. This the thread you were looking for? There's loads of other related threads on here, much easier to find with a Google search.
  10. Today
  11. I found the circular ones to be more of a pain.. unless they are stored and transported flat, and not dropped they seem to tangle more. Presumably because the lines are folded and pinched like the cubes. Much better in the wind though, they don't need pegging down to stop them blowing over. Also petzl airline, mainly as its good and sold in 60m lengths which is frequently needed Falteimer cubes are the only cube brand worth handing money over for. They outlast the stein, weavers etc by many years
  12. I am using Petzle Airglide. Seems ok once you get the reel memory out of the line. Falteimer cubes for me. All others seem to be inferior and not very well constructed. The corners always seem to tear or end up twisting somehow and then making the cubes harder to open. Not tried the one in the picture but I have had my falteimers for over 10 years and they operate better than some of the brand new Stein and Notch knockoffs.

  15. Hi Les . Sorry to hear you are down in the dumps mate . I suppose Welsh rugby is no help ! I got depressed after my bike accident back in 2005 . It was life changing in as much as I could no longer play any sport and when I look back on it I was not a nice person to live with for a while . Gradually I realised its the cards I had been dealt and got on with life making the best of it . I do hope you can do the same mate . Not much I know but us wallys are always here on the key board matey . You know who we are .
  16. Sorry to hear Les. Keep strong. You are seeking help so that is positive. Onwards and upwards.
  17. And happy birthday Pete 🎂 🥳 🎉

  20. Happy Friday Arbtalkers 😊
  21. Good Morning Clear and cold. Blooming Super-Moon revved up the cockerel. He's been crowing since 2 it feels like. Off to Oxfordshire-ish. M25 Friday, what could go right? Have a great weekend.
  22. Morning all . Clear sky , big moon , hard frost . Happy Friday .
  23. Happy birthday Pete btw. Rain disappeared so a couple of ash to come out, priced it months ago so can’t quite remember if it’ll be easy or not! Watching a few minutes of the Ashes before getting the vans ready. England struggling with the ball atm.
  24. Les sorry to hear you are having a hard time. It's always easy on the outside looking in. Maybe dark days ahead but each day is a step in the right direction. I had some troubling times when we had the news of a 3rd sprog in the oven. I was more than happy with 2 she didn't want to get rid of or couldn't, sorry language a bit coarse, so I was stuck. A life impacting situation that I had no say over. The other two were off at school, Mrs was back doing what she enjoyed and we were about to go back to the beginning. All I could see were negatives, and each day was dark and heavy. Nobody was in my situation and no amount of talking could change the facts so I just had to take it. Obviously that has been and gone, probably would be easier without a third but stuck with him now. He likes machinery and the like and can be good fun. Enjoys being out on the farm. Three boys, their energy is sky rocketing while mine seems to be plummeting. Some people find ploughing on with work helps others that's not the case. Good health to ya brutha
  25. Works party today. Shooting clays in the morning and Xmas dinner in the afternoon with a few drinks and a night in the hotel! Enjoy your Friday! Come home safe! Cross, Aries.
  26. The tablets take a while to work and sometimes the dosage might need tweaking. Seek a visit with yout GP....be strong for your family and friends, take care Les!
  27. I hear its not an easy thing to deal with. Stay strong Les.
