James. Why would anyone deliver to you free logs ? It costs in fuel to get to you. The firewood guys pay for good clean wood. The bio-mass guys pay for off cuts. Only the tip charges for disposal of brash ridden branches and scrub. Where is the advantage in dropping off logs to you ? If I could dispose of a 20 x 3.5m Leylandi hedge would you be happy with that ?

Morning, many years ago I bought a sectional set of poles with a saw head, hook and cutter head on it from a company in Basildon in Essex UK called Stanton Hope, unfortunately the company is no longer in existence but I have a problem with some of the poles and want to replace them but I don't know what make they are. Would any screw end poles fit? Or does anybody know the make that the poles were that they sold? Unfortunately I'm unable to get any pictures of the poles as they are in Essex and I'm in Norfolk. I realise my post is a bit vague but I'm hoping someone may have an idea. Thanks

morning, its hard seeing your dogs age, I second an osteopath, it does wonders for us to get put back into place so the same for animals. My eldest boy is home this weekend so its been nice having him home, we had breakfast and did so me chores yesterday and then walked the dog where I gave him a go of the drone, he's always been into things and good with technology then we came home and watched Happy Gilmour 2! I thought it was great, then Chineese for dinner. A proper good day.

Morning all, Happy Sunday.

Morning all. Bitt miffed to wake early this morning, one chance of a lie in. Was up and at 'em yesterday to help my mate sort his chimney, another mate dropped scaffold for us in the morning and we had it done and dismantled again by evening. Stripping it down was interesting, when the top rails were off I was feeling quite exposed, far less comfortable than being on spikes at that height taking a top, and I'd already taken to free climbing the outside to get up and down rather than the ladder as it felt far better. What you're used to I suppose but strange how the mind works. I've a lot of time for Igor Mick, some good memories of the stuff you've said about him on here, particularly one night when he had the wanderlust and I remember how frustrated you sounded, pacing around the house while awaiting his return! All the best to the wee bugger, I'd say he's a bit of an arbtalk legend! Have a good one folks.

What the most unusual thing you have found in a tree
Mike Hill replied to Henry218's topic in Climbers talk
Put a picture up please. Guns with a story are much more interesting. I have one that I bought years ago from the son of the first owner, who after surviving WW1 died a few weeks after coming home by falling off a horse. -
Or He was afraid you were a rank amateur and you wouldn't pay if he refused to sign off substandard work? I have gotten this with tree reports. If what I recommend goes against the wishes of the client they kick up a fuss.

As an aside, Igor was in a bad state for a while, arthritis in his hind quarters and a shoulder problem that meant he started limping after 50 meters, it was pitiful to watch tbh. He was/is already on two types of medication, and seemed depressed by it all. Went to the vets in desperation and she suggested a bit of osteopothy. So I took him and she did half an hour of manipulation, while he looked at me rather bewildered. Anyway very quickly his shoulder problem disappeared. He can still only do 400metres or so before he tired out, but it’s enough for him to do his business and generally have a sniff. He’s in decline but now he’s functioning and seems content. Might be worth finding one in your area? Oh and morning all!

Oi oi then troops . Overcast Sunday morning here . The dog is limping again . Think its an old injury that crops up more frequently just lately . She can go to bed right as nine pence and in the morning she is holding her left leg in the air . There is nothing in the paw . I massage her shoulder which seems to help some what . Think we will have a restful day ..

A broader sweep of the trees (picture wise) might help.

I’ll blow a load of brake cleaner or wd40, then the airline, if it doesn’t work properly after that, it gets relegated to less critical duties.

Mark have you read some of the stuff that’s being posted in the Potus thread ffs radicalised, who me😂😂you kidding me. Now as for some others here they might very well find themselves on a secret service watch list the quantity and content of the posts they put up🤔. You got a daughter or kids mark ?? I’m not sure if you have or not, but put it to any of your friends who have a daughter in the same way and use the same language and insinuations that SP has done on more than one occasion and see how they react. Im no angel Mark, far from it, and will absolutely fight my corner but there is 100% a line I won’t cross. As another said, he should be ashamed. As I said thanks for your “concern” but the biggest run in I’ve had with the law since 1990 is 3 points for speeding ( in an HGV ) on the A1 at Berwick that year.
-
Nope, I'm not a grass, and as I said before I understand your anger. I too would be annoyed. This is a public forum. You should be cautious. If someone read your posts they might think you were radicalised, at best.

You are very much mistaken Mark. It’s the same left v right shit on here carried across a number of threads over the last few years. None of that really bothers me in any way at all, it’s the internet, it means bugger all in reality, more often than not it’s a bit of amusement. What has really pissed me off is the fact that a certain individual has not for the first or second time attempted to gain a few points by dragging my kids or family into conversations including rape and the potential of harm to them. You tolerate far more from that particular person than you ever would others including myself due to nothing more than the fact your political views and opinion of Trump align. Regarding my FAC Mark , You wouldn’t do that as you say !! dropping hints are you Mark !! thanks for the “concern” but I’ve a good working relationship with my FLO so no need to be putting the words nutjob and guns in the same sentence be it accidental or intentional. Unfortunately there seems to be no line that some on here are not prepared to cross, if that’s ok with you that’s your choice, for me family in particular kids are most definitely out of bounds. Like I said to John, maybe he’s right Mark, I’m not here to see my daughter and the word rape linked in the same thread.

I have a midland hammer gun not damascus barrels though, got it handed to me when the shotgun certificates changed, made in 1876 for a butcher in Fleetwood and was 1 of a pair he had but not numbered, i am only the third owner of it and the butchers grandson i still see now and then and is all ways telling me about his grandad shooting grouse, hares, rabbits and pheasants to sell in his butchers shop, -
Hi I'm James and I'm looking for free logs if anyone in my area has anything they can drop on my drive? I have already created it as a tip site. So please get in touch, I'm in Berkeley Gloucestershire
