  2. Yes absolutely; cut them down to a little over size before kilning. Expect some end splitting and cupping. Make sure everything has extra thickness and length so you can machine it to exact size when doing the build.

  9. Climber Required. Self employed or PAYE. Good crew. Good hours. We have experienced staff so not big climbs all day every day Actual pay depends on how much you can take off the manager's plate. From ordering new parts for the saws to deciding who does what. Plenty of time on the ground mentoring newly qualified staff. Avant GRCS. Some domestic work during quiet months. Mostly National Trust, woodland work or development sites outside of nesting. www.treescapeoxford.co.uk [email protected] 07834811239
  10. It's only going to get worse: folk are going to get stupider and stupider with less and less common sense. Why bother thinking if you no longer have to? Drying Floor

Thanks great info. If i were to put them in a kiln/make my own would it make a difference if i cut them down to rough sizes first? Mostly as I've only got a small garden and I dont think it would go down very well if i filled it with a kiln big enough for the full slabs.
  12. Sundance Kid . Do you think we used enough dynamite there Butch ?
  13. 89, very decent innings. Fine body of work as well. If you haven’t already, watch A River Runs Through It.

    Tasty

Never had so many, the largest are around 175mm. I've always known them as horse mushrooms, all I know is they are tasty.

  19. But we dont live in a 3rd world , and really u have no right to life , Have I rattled some amnesty international person?
  20. Hedge thinnings? That sounds too thin in diameter and something for a chipper rather than a logger. Thin stems are ok for kindling, but not great to burn indoors in bulk. Its all sapwood and the bark holds in the moisture if green.
  21. Every problem contains within itself, the seed of its solution. Every time the police arrest a normal, right thinking person, for wrong-speak, it tips the public sentiment needle a little more to the right. Another crack in the dam and a little more pressure.
  22. that part could prove quite popular.
  23. Yeah personally I could do without the right to life, freedom from torture and inhuman or degrading treatment, freedom from slavery and forced labour, the right to liberty and security, the right to a fair trial, respect for private and family life, home, and correspondence, freedom of thought, conscience, and religion, freedom of expression, freedom of assembly and association and, worst of all, protection from discrimination.
  24. Thinking about getting a branch logger like a remet 200 for the massive pile of crappy hedge thinnnings i have. Have seen quite a videos on line and they look ideal but can't find much long term feedback on reliability, maintenance etc. If anyone has real world experience they wouldn't mind sharing I'd be appreciative. Thanks john
